*Tone: In this screenshot the color has been desaturated to contrast against the two different themes of the Ghetto and Upper Class lifestyles.
*Balance: Everything is clean cut, smooth crisp lines.
*Contrast: Actress Amanda Seyfried, Red hair, crisp short hair cut, pale skin tone.
Concrete world... Makes everything appear gray, no color, no life, no light. A suffering world.
* Lighting, lighting, lighting. This sequence is black and white from the previous. The detail of the stair cases, chandeliers, archways, men dressed in black. Look at the circular patterns on the ground.
*costuming is once a again a big role in this set. Everyone is in uniform attire.
*I like the angle of the camera, I feel as if I am a fly on the way. Its just as if I am actually on the set and just standing behind these men.
*This scene takes place in the more Upper class status world that actor Justin Timberlake "buys his way" per say, into the upper class status world. He is given extra time by a man who kills himself and he now has become very wealthy which makes him acceptable to be present in this type of classy setting. This scene is taking place at a very fancy party: cocktails, gambling, etc. It is more towards the beginning of the film and this is where Amanda Seyfried makes her first appearance and connects with Timberlake. It is just the beginning of the crazy mayhem that is about to happen.
